This website is a grand accomplishment in the service of Hadith Sharif. It is in the Urdu language and has been prepared online with accordance to the well-known Arabic software for Hadith ‘Maktaba tul Hadith’, which is renowned among people of knowledge.
On this website, Ahadith are present along with all their details, for the people to be fully aware of their value. So far, six well-known books of Hadith (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Jami’ Tirmidhi, Sunan Abi Dawud, Sunan Ibn Majah and Sunan Nisai) have been uploaded, each with their respective urdu translations. Jami Tirmidhi has had one translation uploaded, while the other five books each have had two. The website is very resourceful, having many useful features to benefit the viewer. All the books have been presented along with various numbering units. Sahih Bukhari has 10 numbering units. Jami’ Tirmidhi has 9 and the remaining four each have 8. The Urdu explanation and respective benefits and issues of every hadith are present, along with statements of more than one scholar. Gradation of Ahadith is given as well as the type of Hadith, whether it is Hadith Qudsi, Marfu’, etc. Users can easily gain access to information about the chain of a Hadith, whether it is Muttasil, Mufasil, Munqati’, etc.

In view of its importance in religion, scholars have been working on such issues for as long as one can remember, and they are still doing so. In today’s age of research and science, when the Internet is becoming an integral part of society, there is a great need to provide a platform to people where they can easily find solutions to all their problems in the light of Shari’ah.  The Islamic Research Council launched the Urdu Fatwa site for this reason. This site has been a comfortable asset for the public to discover solutions from Shari’ah for any problem. The user has full access to about 30,000 fatwas on the site. These are all fatwas written by modern and ancient Salafi scholars in their books. One of the advantages of having fatwas of different muftis is that the reader can see more than one opinion and fatwas on the same issue. The user can easily search for the desired fatwa by typing in a word and in the subject wise fatwa. If a person wants to read any of the books of fatwa in order, that is also available.

The modern, easy and unique online and digital library of its kind has been developed as Al-Muktab-e-Shamla-e-Arabic, which is in the form of a website, computer software and a mobile app. The books are divided into different categories. The portion of Qur’an and Hadith has been arranged with special diligence and dedication. Seven Urdu translations of any verse can be seen and so far 12 commentaries have been made a part of this platform. By clicking on any verse, it is very easy to reach any of these commentaries. There are plans to add more annotations in the next version. Similarly, in the portion of Hadith, the Sihah Sitta have been added. Additionally, about 20 more books of Hadith are to be included and this is a work in progress. Apart from the Qur’an and Hadith, categories like Aqeedah, Rulings, Issues and Fatwas have also been created. Maktab Shamila is also available in the form of an Urdu website, its software can be easily downloaded, after which all books can be accessed even without the presence of internet. And it is also available in the form of a mobile app. Once the app is downloaded, even if there is no internet, this app can be fully utilized. Hundreds of books have been uploaded to the software so far. Maktab Shamila is a unique resource in Urdu language, which has been much appreciated and used by the public.
